Formed in 2016, the Baltimore Environmental Equity Partnership comprises Baltimore-based nonprofit organizations working on community development, community organizing, environmental and health advocacy, and social justice. The Partnership aims to foster cross-sector collaboration to improve community and environmental well-being and sustainability in neighborhoods of East and Southeast Baltimore.

The Baltimore Office of Sustainability is a resource, catalyst, and advocate for a sustainable and resilient Baltimore. The Office integrates the principles of environmental integrity, social equity, and economic prosperity into plans, practices, policies, and partnerships. Their goal is to provide innovative solutions to our City’s challenges while engaging, educating, and motivating.


Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD) is a broad-based, non-partisan, interfaith, multiracial and nonprofit community power organization rooted in Baltimore’s neighborhoods and congregations. For more than 35 years, Build has worked to improve housing, increase job opportunities, and rebuild schools and neighborhoods, among other issues.

ReBuild Metro

ReBUILD Metro is an East Baltimore-based organization that catalyzes collaborative, bottom-up community revitalization. Through a multi-stage development model, they engage in community planning, real estate development, construction and property management, and more. This model emphasizes human capital, with community stakeholders as leaders and engaged residents as co-developers.
